|I thought Paramount Lanes would be old and run down. I was really wrong. This is a great house! Staff is friendly and willing to help with any problem you might. The equipment is in great condition. Believe it or not even the food is pretty good! Rocky the owner runs a couple specials that are really money savers for a family. I would recommend this to anyone who want to go to small house to bowl. No flashy lights no weird gimicks just great bowling!|

|This is a follow-up to my last comment.
Paramount did not disappoint!! Very good lanes in great condition! My wife and I got there on a Sunday just as they were opening, so we were first on the lanes. They were just oiled, just right (for us) so we were in for a treat! First two games were really good, the last was okay, but I'm not complaining. I think the oil pattern changed a little towards the third game. (Easy fix, just switch to a fresh lane that hasn't been bowled on yet!)
Paramount is 12 lanes, and were built originally in 1956(?). I forgot. But this is one of the few classic golden age alleys in the Denver area. The new owner, Rocky, had new lanes (phenolic with veneer) put down on the first half, leaving the back half the original restored wood what looks like douglas fir. I could be wrong on the tree species there.
Paramount also has most of the original interiors from that early era with an exception of an older 1980's automatic Brunswick pin scoring computer and screens. The computer got a little buggy with us, but nothing major.
And yes, you get to watch the ball return back to you on the outside, rolling down a ramp back towards you, so yes, keep your hands out of it! Especially the transition point! I also saw a little kid *almost* get his hand caught in there today, so they're not kidding when they say, "Keep your hands out!"
I haven't tried the food yet, so I have no comment there. Yet.
Overall, bowling wise, pretty good experience. I will be back..and soon!!|

|Never bowled at these lanes, but I did look inside yesterday and saw the old pre-1950's (?) lanes with ball returns on the outside! How cool is that?!! Paramount may look like a dive, but for me, it's the kitch factor, and the lanes look in good shape! I must try Paramount soon!!|
