|So I may be a little biased, but I love King Pin Lanes. The center accomodates every type of bowler. Want to go bowl with your family and have a great time for your once a year trip to the lanes then GO FOR IT! However, if you are that serious tournament bowler you can go bowl on any one of the five PBA animal oil patterns at a given time! I don't especially love it because they have a great and incredibly friendly staff nor do I love it for the incredible family-fun atmosphere. I don't love it for the incredible hospitality I have received throughout the last year bowling there. The incredibly clean facility and extremely well kept lane/approach conditions are a bonus too. Oh! The overhead televisions are nice and so is the bar area! In addition, how convenient is it that there is a pro shop open six days a week right in the center? Anyway, I love King Pin lanes because the staff believes I can make it as a pro bowler. They believe in me. So I bowl there. THANKS KING PIN LANES!|

|A group of friends went to King Pin Lanes on a Friday Night to celebrate a birthday. Cosmic Bowling is incredibly fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Manager came to help us several times when we managed to mess up the scoring unit. The Bartender and Snackbar person were very friendly and personable. The bowling center was impeccably clean even after being open all day. Not too many bowling centers are clean, but we arrived early and saw why this was. Everyone cleaned up the areas for the Cosmic Bowlers after league bowling had finished. Even the manager was out wiping down tables. You don't ever see a manager doing those types of things. We knew we were going to have fun when we saw this. Then came the lights. Cosmic Bowling at King Pin Lanes has the best light show in any bowling alley I have ever seen. And if it couldn't get any better? It did. The price we paid was the cheapest Rock n'Bowl, Shot-in-the-Dark, or Cosmic Bowling we have ever been to. If you are looking for a clean bowling center to have fun at, King Pin Lanes and the staff and management will provide you with a night of fun you won't soon forget. |

|There is a Handicap ramp on the side of the building for handicap access to the facility. As well as bowling ramps for wheelchair or younger children. All the lanes have bumper guards. And they also have a large selection of lighter balls.
This is without a doubt a clean, family oriented entertainment center. |

|A year ago, I was here w/ my buddy and I have to say we had a very good experience and a lot of fun. The staff and the service is great. I loved their synthetic lanes. It's a very clean & modernized bowling center. When my buddy and I are in the area next time, you know where we are going: King Pin Lanes! I wish the same owners would open a King Pin in the Hudson Valley Area.|

|I had a cosmic bowling birthday party for my daughter and all her friends last Friday evening. The arrangements for our party were all taken care of the party host and manager on duty was very pleasant. Previously we had a birthday party at another local bowling alley and were treated very badly. King Pin Lanes does a great job for its patrons. This bowling alley is very clean and very family oriented. The pizza is so good we will be ordering take out from there. If you are visiting the Rome area and enjoy bowling or you are just looking for something fun to do I can highly recommend King Pin Lanes. Great People. Great Food. Great Value. Great Fun!|

|I just had my daughter's birthday party for two years in a row at King Pin Lanes. The staff and management is more than helpful in providing a quality experience for us. The food is excellent. We live in the area and sometimes order take out from there.
We also occasionally visit there on Saturday evenings for Open Bowl or Cosmic Bowl. They have the cheapest and most high quality Cosmic Bowl/Rock N' Bowl light show in our area. Something I hadn't noticed before is that King Pin Lanes has music videos playing instead of just an audio. They always seem to be adding new and exciting things to the place.
They have automatic scoring so you can enjoy your night out without having someone keeping track of your scores.
If you are looking for something exciting to do and even if bowling isn't something you'd consider fun I'd recommend trying Cosmic Bowling at King Pin Lanes in Rome.|

|I hate this place with a passion. Every time I have come to this bowling alley, I have been ripped off in one way or another. I actually have a story I would like to share with the viewers of this website. Last Saturday (10/15/05) it was my school's Semi Formal. Afterwards a bunch of the students here at RFA, including myself, decided to go bowling. Just for future reference - King Pin Lanes makes me never want to bowl again. As we got there, the man at the desk charges everyone $12. Now, a few weeks earlier, the price was only $11. I didn't say anything, even though I should have. $1 over 70 or more people adds up a lot. So as we were bowling during "cosmic bowling" we decided to order some of the food. We ordered over $35 worth of food. We kept waiting and waiting and waiting and finally we get some food after about an hour. Then when we are waiting for the rest of it, we became fed up and asked for it. The waitress/ bar skank said that we never ordered the food/ or already recieved it. We were missing approximately $25 worth of food. Upon 2 or 3 separate times of asking nicely for the food or our money back we engaged with the manager. The manager said "there's nothing I can do about it". What I have to say to that is none other that "BS". I remained silent and just left. We called for our ride and it came. I brought my clothes out to the car. My friend Jake said "lets go back in and ask one more time." So we all went in and Jake said "Sir, we are being civil, we are asking nicely, just give us our money back and we will leave and never come back."
The manager said "No. there is nothing I can do about it" Jake asked once again "please just give us our money back" and the manager said "Not tonight." Then this "bouncer" started yelling for everyone to get out and started pushing us around. My other friend Chuck elbowed the "bouncer" in self defense and he backed off a little. He looked at me and started walking my way. That is when I said "don't even touch me. you have no idea what's going to happen if you do." He walked past me seeing I was in no mood for his wanna be tough guy BS power trip. We walked outside and he stood on the steps and yelled "you lucky I don't kick your f****** asses!". Now here is a grown man swearing using profanity in public threating to hurt, potentally life threatening injuries upon minors. The whole time we were in there, not a single kid was misbehaving. The only people that were, were grown men drunk to the point of comeplete embarassment. They were literally walking around scremaing and swearing. We still have not recieved the money after many complaints even from our parents. It's more than $15. It's the principle that every time I have gone inside King Pin Lanes I have been screwed around.
Also, at this "fine" establishment, they serve underaged kids alcohol. Literally everyime I go in there for "cosmic bowling" I have seen underaged kids that my brother and sister grew up with drinking along with seniors from my school.
The place is a pig pen run by lowlifes. I highly suggest you save your money and pick up another hobby if you live in Rome, NY.
