|I have been reading all the post from different bowling centers is the area. It's sad to see the way bowling has gone. The way bowlers bash there home lanes and other lanes.Different center try different things to bring in bowlers. Many of centers have the dollar night when things are slow. You can't ask them to do this when they have league bowlers that at there 30 nights a week in the winter. Most are just getting out of work and end up getting a bite to eat or a drink at the bar. Most league bowers get a better break on bowling. Why not because they end up spending about 3 or 4 hundred a year. Most bowlers that stop in for a price break my only come once or twice a year and spend only $10.00 each trip. Some may spend more at the bar.The sad thing is it all falls down on all the centers.I have been a bowler all my life, worked in a couple different centers.Drilled many 1000s of bowling balls.Worked on Machines, worked on wood lanes sanding them! The cost to run a center takes a lot of money.I can't ever tell you because the list is just too long.Just look at the price of fuel. Then look at the cost it keep you to have a home and the up keep. The cost of fuel, lights, ins, phone, etc. Now picture a bowling center or any other small business.Remember going out to eat and the place was full?
I could go on and on but its all about high scores.Everyone thinks about winning and not the fun night out.So a machine breaks down for a while, take the time to talk about something or go get a soda, the rest room, etc What's the hurry, you got all night.Unless you got a hot date!Bottom line bowlers stop crying and have fun with life.|

|The area has just lost the best and most friendly bowling alley ever. Any time, day or night, you could go in and be greeted like a family menber.
I have been visiting the Albany area for years for bowling events and will soarly miss the fun, great score, and Carol and her staff. I hope she
stays in the business, it wouldn't be the same without her.|

|I just moved back in the area after being away for a year. This house used to be my favorite. The staff is friendly the house is in great shape and the place is very clean but,
The prices have skyrocketed!!! They have become part of the bowling conglomorate "Bowl New England". They now charge $4.00 per game. These peopls own about 5 houses in this area.
Bowl New England boasts that they are Family fun centers but they do not offer family prices except for ridiculous times on Thurs.and Sundays.
The only break you get if you are a league bowler in that house. They no longer are trying to get business from the recreational bowler.
I ended up going to Uncle sam Lanes which only charges 2.25 per game and is also a great place to bowl. Unfortunately, it looks like I found a new house. Good Luck Carol.|

|Best center in the area. Consistanty is the key here. Customer service, Lane Conditions, Cleaniness, Family environment...you know what to expect. The staff is one of the best I have experienced in any center nearby. Very accomodating and the personal attention was great. No center in the area measures up.|
