|This place is a disgrace. A large party (Including myself) came in eager to bowl and have fun... myself and 3 of my friends who are well over the age of 21 GOT DENIED by the bartender. The bartender had no clue of how to check a license. She then proceeded to be rude and nasty when we tried correcting her on her mistake. WHY WOULD SOMEONE WHO IS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 ARGUE THAT THEY ARE WELL ABOVE THE AGE OF 21!?!?? We spoke to the general manager who was just as rude and had no idea on how to handle the situation properly. I will never come back to this bowling lane and will find else where to go that have bartenders who are educated and able to check a real license properly. All we wanted to do was have a few drinks and have fun bowling but this was the complete opposite of what the night ended up being. I left there angry and fustrated.|

|Beware AMF bowlers, AMF closed Van Wyck without telling it's bowlers. AMf could close your alley too. Watch out. |

|I echo John's sentiments about the thermostat. I also bowl here. To me not just the liquor is high, all the prices are high. I know some people who said they will try to sneak things in anyway. As John said the managers don't seem to know much about competitive bowling, they seem to worry about the other parts of the business. Namely non-competetive bowlers and the food and liquor areas. I have heard people saying their leagues might move somewhere else if they can. If not this year than next year.|

|OUCH! This is the CLASSIC example of terrible management. Is seems ad if the managers have never bowled competitively in there lives.
Firstly, the building climate is too hot (it is impossible to bowl well when its 80 degrees) My entire league complains every week and the management does nothing.
Secondly, the food service is horrendous. The alcoholic beverages are so overpriced its ridiculous. Here's a hint...you can't expect league bowlers to pay the same price for a beer at a BOWLING center as they would in a Manhattan night club.
This bowling center is BEAUTIFUL. There is no reason why it isn't one of the best houses on the Island. An easy fix... Lower the thermostat and the beer and liquor prices and you may just have a winner. |

|The place has really gone down hill! Our league has been there forever and we have over 30 teams! All of a sudden, we are overcharged, we can't bring our own beverages in (bottled water / soda) and we can't bring any food in (Wendy's is practically in the parking lot). Yet, their food and becerage service is aweful! And way overpriced! The lanes break down, the computers break down, the staff is terrible. We are thinking about moving to a different bowling house! We probably will in fact! Any of you other centers want us?|
