Again, Colonial lanes is fine. though Mon nite i had a problem with a staff person being rude, and i left out of disgust instead of bowling, not wanting to ever come back . but then later reported it to management, who is taking care of problem.i thank them for that. cause i dont care how dirty or run down this place is, if the prices are reasonable and staff treats customers properly, thats half the battle!! with that said i hope to be back realllll soooooon!!! later
thanks!!!! chris

Colonial lanes may be dirty and not the best kept but the great staff and amazing prices overshadow it. Out facing route 1, i think they should have an exit door near lane 64 (probably the old blocked off bar door) (kind of a weird setup) or make the bathroom hallway on the 1-32 side near lane 1 entrance also open to the 33-64 side. for an emergency exit, that is.....
yes the computers are very outdated and score wrong often. I wish the approaches were kept a little cleaner, but i like that it has synthetic lanes. at least colonial doesnt have lanes that pucker up at the foul line (which will mess up your shot), pinsetters that take up to 20 seconds to refill in between frames due to only having 12 pins in the rack, crappy pins, and horrible rude staff that lets constant bogus regular AND personal cell phone calls interfere with customer service like at hamilton lanes. colonial may not be the nicest but thats ok- at least its reasonable so they have an excuse. Hamilton, however is ridiculously expensive (dont DARE get me started on how much of a disgraceful DUMP hamilton is!!!!!!!!!!) So Colonials actually pretty decent. Again, the staff is courteous. there is a 2 hour special for 12.95 per person with soda and 2 pc pizza. plus in the middle of my game i had a personal emergency come up and had to leave immediately, so they were kind enough to refund me the unused portion of the game, willingly. And in all the chaos, i forgot my ball but they kept it for me. God bless em for that!!!! I certainly hope and plan to be back soon. like curtis lanes i see lots of potential for colonial and realllllllly hooooooope this place does remodel soon, good luck with that!!!!! later

I wondered what happened to those luncheonette ladies!! They were great!! The new owner is a nice guy but very (VERY) slow and the place has no ambiance. The guy who works the bar on week night is great. The alleys are acceptable.

the lunchonett was sold to a nearby pizza place thats there now because the owner of the bowling alley wanted to raise the rent of the lady who owned the lunchonett to a prie that she couldnt afford and she sold it.

Its a shame that the owner is such a butthead and doesn't realize that he is sitting on a gold mine. the perfect location could have unbeleivable income if he just knew how to operate the bussines. the league bowlers get nothing for their monies and you never know if its going to be like bowling outside when you get there due to no heat or the lanes will be like bowling out on route1. it to bad that it seems that the ownership seems to be heading for the GREAT CLOSURE......give by the end of the summer..OH by the way what was he thinking about getting rid of the girls in the lunchonett??

part of the problem also is that the owner is cheap and doesnt want to spend the money to fix the place up

I am no longer a league bowler at Colonial but unfortunately am forced to bowl in there certain tournaments. Its a shame this place has steadily declined throughout the recent years.
It wasn't too long ago that Colonial had one of the best leagues in Mercer County (Colonial Classic on Wednesday Nights). From what I hear, the ownership will be doing a major renovation so there is a possibility that this place will bounce back.

its a shame when they need police and police dogs there on friday and saturday nights. it took a number of years and countless fights to have police there.

This place is like a junk yard. It literally stinks from inside with junk equipment. The staff is disgusting and provide no service. They treat customers like shoes (don't care- beat em up).

With prices this low, is it any wonder the place is a dive?? They are probably going out of business and are trying to wring every penny from the masses!

Used to be the best bowling alley, but the managers got strict when they fired the security guard, so it's not the best hang out for teens anymore, but for strictly bowling, it's great!

Very much a dive, but the prices are unbeatable (it costs like $1.25 a game on weekdays before 4:00). None of the equipment is broken, but the computers are outdated. The lanes (not the building) are well upkept. Some of the staff are trailer trash, but they don't try to screw you on prices. I rate it 4 out of 5 stars for the lanes and prices.
