Most of the problems this place has that is part of Brunswick. Everything seems to have to go back to Arlington Lanes in Riverside. Brunswick Corp bowling as merdy recreation, rather that a sport. Arlington Lanes maybe the biggest maker of equipment, but they don't have the right mentality to run bowling centers to reach SERIOUS bowlers. Most Brunswick owned centers leagues are way down. The people here are friendly, but at times you get the impression that they get burned at since the center appears to be short staffed.

Arlington Lanes is a very well maintained facility! They seem to have kicked out the gangbangers and the leagues there are awesome. The coaches in the youthleagues are very helpful, the food there exceptional, the arcade is good, and the Cosmic Bowling Rox! Tell ya Arlington Lanes seems to have cleaned up and also, they added the new Brunswick Vector Scoring System with 10-Frame Format Views of Juniors Sample Animations and installed slim sleck new flat screen monitors which will make any bowling center more upscale!!!

Make new friends at the bowling alley!!!

Yes, the weekends are where all the Chain Gangs show up! It is a very scary place. With Low Prices, it also brings out all the Low Gettos from the neighbor"Hoods". Don't come here, it is dangerous.

Don't know much of what goes on during the week at the lanes but "Cosmic Bowling" on the weekends is off the chain. $13 for three hours of bowling and that includes shoes! Can't beat that! Also the DJ there is very good and plays good music. Makes it feel like a club atmosphere! the Staff is awesome! the Dj also gives out free passes throughout the night! I'm having my next party there!!! I try to go both friday and saturday but mainly saturdays.

To start, comment about Melissa is 100% true. Randy Myers, eat your heart out! AS for you, if you continue to act this way, I will let everyone know about your recent troubles! Which are also 100% truth. If you dare, say another word and contest this!

First of all, I would like it investigated on who posted the last two comments on July 2nd. PLEASE verify the IP address and ban them from posting at this site. I would suggest having charges filed against them for slander/impersonating etc. It appears they "attempted" to post something from me (Randy Myer) and also a very derogatory comment from Melissa, but again, the last name was spelled wrong. This is probably an ex or current employee trying to be "cute", but it is not funny to paint Melissa as nothing more than a "prostitute". I leased the Pro Shop from Alex, didn't work for him or at Cal Bowl. For the record, Alex did not buy Cal Bowl, nor will he be doing so anytime in the immediate future. It was purchased by Charlie Kinstler. As far as Arlington Lanes go, I have a lot of very fond memories from there, the employees, the bowlers, and even the "shot". I bowled my only two 800 Series there, once before Alex bought it in 2000, and again in 2006 shortly before he "banned" me from the property once my lease expired. From what I hear, the shot is even easier than ever, with many old time bowlers getting their 1st 300 games or 800 series after many years of trying. I'm happy for all of them (especially those I drilled a ball for!) so Congrats to all of them! Keep STRIKING! I know nothing about the current state of the center, not having bowled there for nearly two years, so I have no comment, believe it or not.

That is right JZ! Cal Bowl is not doing well! I worked there recently. Hope Alex & his dad buy the place and wast all their money!

Hey Alex, What you could not get before now you can have for a small fee of $300/hr. You still have my number, call me! Sorry Mrs. Mann, you just don't have what Alex want!

Comment Date: 4/25/2008 Name: Jz
You are right. Every center that Alex owns or manages he runs into the ground. He ran Chaparral Lanes and ran it into the grounds before selling it. The bowlers were glad to see him leave. Now his father and him are looking to buy another center possibly Cal Bowl, Too bad for the bowlers of Cal Bowl if its true,

Comment Date: 10/18/2007 Name: Why Alex does not fix them..........
Well, the reason Alex does not spend "ANY" Money fixing this {deleted} is because...."He is selling the Center". He is just trying to get out! His father tried, His Brother tried and now he tried and can't make it! Be Carefull guys, if he close the center, you will have no place to bowl this season. Also, check the lanes, there is no more wood left to sand down, Alex need to buy new lanes, All 40 of them. It will cost over $350,000 or more, not to mention the 30 years old computer system which is an additional $300,000 to change. To buy this bowling center for $4.8 millions and spend an additional $1 million right away to update the center is simply crazy! Bowler, get out when you still got the chance. Other bowling centers are still willing to take you in, AMF Riverside, ABC Bowl, Brunswick MoVal, and Morongo Bowl are some of the excellent choices. Verify the fact with Alex and find out the truth.

I agree with your team 100%! I tried ABC Bowl in Mo Val and they are perfect for us! Our Beloved Melissa is working over there now and she told me the owners are wonderful with league bowlers. (She said that Carman is also going over there soon!) And she can work with us on League Fees AND Host a party for us to "Try Out" ABC Bowl for FREE..... What are we waiting for??? Lets Call her up and set this up!

Well I liked it better when it was concourse, but the night bowling is still cool. They would get a lot more customers if they had more specials and did some advertising 3.75 a game is a bit steep.

It's time.....time to change alleys. Our team is tired of the "Lanes". The surface is pitted and there is not a decent lane. We've already got in at a much better place and I'm sorry but, I'm not sayin where. I will say that if you do some checkin in the area, you'll be alot happier. p.s. thanx to all the staff at Tava Lanes for years of great fun. We all miss ya guys.

Like I said, I bowl at many centers! And this one S**KS! I bowl here so I can get used to the "BAD" Lanes! But for normal League Bowlers, it is NO FUN! And food prices are very high here as well. Riverside area has so many bowling centers, and this one is certainly not one I will bring my friends to bowl.

Comment Date: 12/8/2006 Name: Jason
Truth Hurts! This Bowling Center's Lane is BAD! There are no more WOOD left to sand! How can USBC sanction this Center? or Have they? If there is a choice, this will not be our bowling center any longer!

Comment Date: 11/28/2006 Name: Johnathan
Nice going losers!!! Obviously, you are from ABC Lanes or whatever you call it. Is this how you get customer by talking trash about other centers. I don't recall ABC Lanes or AMF Riverside being voted "Most Favorite Bowling Alley in the Inland Empire." I've bowled at this place for 20 years and love the place even more.

Comment Date: 11/7/2006 Name: David
I bet if you read all the negative comments by Jason about all these bowling alleys, you can figure out which alley he works at. Ive known him for years and he told me he makes this stuff up for entertainment. Please visit the alleys and dont let an immature person sway you.

Our League will not be coming back to this dump! The owner Alex is a joke! He had promised us for last three years to fix the lane! And NOThing! Why do we bowl here? And our fees are going up? Lets go to ABC Bowl like the Wednesday league here! I think they are much better at taking care of the league bowlers ABC Bowl in Moreno Valley!

Comment Date: 10/29/2006 Name: Jason
This bowling center's lane is like a land mine! The divits are bigger than the golf balls. It is beyond repair and unless you are looking for divit adventures, don't bowl there! And their scoring system is as OLD as the lanes, it just S*ks! Grade F---------!
